As a leading recording studio in London there is often lively debate of the musical kind, so we decided to let Connor, our work experience chap, compose today’s blog on his top five DJ’s around the globe. As you may know disc jockeys entertain through music, either there own or other peoples music adding a bit of a twist by mixing and mashing songs up to make it interesting for the audience.
So here it is. The boss says he’s only heard of 2 of these. How many do you know?
5. Deadmau5- His real name is Joel Thomas Zimmerman he was born on the 5th January 1981. His main genre is “electro” and progressive house. He stands out for two main reasons, one reason being is that he wears a head prop when performing that he designed himself when learning 3d animation, based on micky mouse and the second being his name ‘Deadmau5′. when he was younger he once found a dead mouse in his computer and from then on his name stuck.

4.David Guetta- “David Pierre Guetta” born on the 7th November 1967 in Paris. His genres are electro, house and dance music. For many years he played in nightclubs around the globe until he joined Gum productions and was the co founder and released his first album “just a little more love”in 2001.

3.Tiesto- His full name is “Tjis Michael Verwest” he was born on the 17th January 1969 in the Netherlands. he has been a performing DJ since 1994. At the age of 14 he was the DJ at his high school graduation day. He was so good other schools asked him to DJ at their graduation days. From there played at the local club named the “Spock”. He was then introduced to Black Hole recordings in 1997. Then released his first album named “MAGIK series”.

2.Carl Cox- Carl Cox has been a professional DJ since his early teens and the main genres of his are acid house and techno. He played a big part in the recognition of acid house and had a particular interest in the rave scene and from then on pursued his dream and got to wear he is today.

1. Avicci- Avicci is a very new Dj and was first being recognised in 2010 with hit singles such as Bromance and My feelings for you, to add to the successful year Avicci had, big remixes of Tiesto, Robyn, David Guetta, and Bob Sinclair.

So there it is. Just my opinion. Yours may differ. Of so, let us know.
