Its beginning to feel more like spring with the sun shinning outside and the diary becoming fuller by each passing week. Working as a recording studio we often get a mix of clients, from voiceover artists, singers, bands and even sometimes all at once. Today the recording studio was alive with several Arts Educational School students and the talented Andrea Black coming in to record the audio for the next highly awaited instalment of Skippity Hop.
Skippity Hop is a wonderful six part series about a young rabbit and her friends adventures told through light, fun and entertaining stories which promote good manners, healthy lifestyles and moderation. The book and audio CD is aimed for pre-schoolers to help them learn in a fun and entertaining way, hoping to evoke a sense of nostalgia for another era. As described by Andrea Black, the narrator, author and illustrator of the book these stories resemble aspects of Beatrix Potter and Enid Blyton and have been created to re-awaken this sense of wonder for children and encourage them to take part in outdoor activities and inspire a mentally and physically healthy life.
Andrea Black has had a colourful career working as an actress, musician, artist and writer so her wonderful flair of creativity is always a joy to work with. Furthermore, with Andrea’s overall desire to turn Skippity Hop into a musical and to enhance visual stimuli and audience interest were looking at the opportunity to create a stir. As a recording studio and music creation house, we have been able to create all our own music here in the studio using classical instruments and general household props adding depth to the narrative.
Audio books are becoming evermore popular with the continuous development of digital media. Making them accessible to anyone around the world through online downloads, windows media audio programming, advance audio coding, preloaded digital formats and even audio streams which can be reached through an array of digital devices, i.e. tablets, phones, computers and so on. Making this project a great opportunity for us to branch into a new market.
This recording studio is getting plenty of stimuli.
