Following on from the success of our last blog, our video production studio in London got jealous and insisted on presenting us with The Video Production Dictionary. These phrases and translations will hopefully help you to navigate the hi-tech world of video and web video production.
Phrase: “We already have loads of great footage which we shot ourselves on location.”
Translation: “None of this footage is usable in any way.”
Phrase: “We wanted the footage to look raw and gritty to give it a more artistic feel.”
Translation: “This was all filmed on an Iphone.”
Phrase: “Can you show me some different colour correction options?”
Translation: “I you get rid of of those spots on my nose?”
Phrase: “Maybe we could do some of the editing together right now so I can see a rough draft.”
Translation: “‘I thought that this video production stuff was just a couple of clicks and then you’re done.”
Phrase: “I have actually done a bit of acting when I was at school.”
Translation: “I will constantly have to re read the script just to remember two lines.”
We would love to hear your own video production translations too. Get in touch with us through Facebook, and Twitter, and visit us again soon for more blogs in the series.
